Background
The idea to establish the Idi Amin Memorial Institute was conceived during The Idi Amin Dada Memorial prayers held At Masjid Noor in Bombo Town , Luwero District from 16th -18th August 2023; it was in response to the expressed need and increasing public demand for an institution of higher learning to provide an academic home with the necessary serenity and facilities for the planning and execution of Research Projects To Study and Understand The Myths And Realities in the print and electronic media publications about President Idi Amin Dada – His Intentions /Development Projects Planned For Uganda; His Actual Contributions To The Development Of Uganda And His Legacies that still exist in the context of our time and place

The West Nile sub-region is located in North-Western Uganda.
Currently (as of Now August 22, 2023), The West Nile sub-region consists of the following districts:
- Adjumani District
- Arua City
- Arua District
- Koboko District
- Maracha District
- Terego District
- Madi-Okollo District
- Moyo District
- Nebbi District
- Yumbe District
- Zombo District
- Obongi District
In the context of urbanization and administrative divisions in urban areas, at present (August 2023), the West Nile sub region has 1 city (Arua City) , 2 municipalities (Nebbi Municipality and Koboko Municipality) and several town councils .
Population: targeted beneficiaries
The West Nile sub-region has a population of over 3.5m people (Citizens) and 1 M Refugees (about 800,000 living ins Refugees settlements and 200,000m living as urban refugees).
